Khamzhat Chimaev burst onto the Ultimate Fighting scene on July 15, 2020, with a submission victory over John Phillips in the second round. Mixed Martial Artist fans were dumbfounded by Chimaev’s world class wrestling which made fans believe he would be just another “boring” fighter from Russia. However, Chimaev would take the fighting world by storm when he decided to fight ten days later the next fight card, rare for any fighter nonetheless a new fighter. Chimaev steamrolled his next three fights until the UFC wanted to give him a veteran challenge in the form of the ranked fighter, Gilbert Burns. Burns would surprisingly knock down Chimaev during the fight eventually losing the fight to Chimaev by decision. This made multiple fans question Khamzhat’s ability against tougher opponents which then led to his matchup against UFC legend, Robert Whittaker. The former Middleweight champion had an upper hand pre-fight, a notion that was quickly dissolved once Chimaev broke the jaw of Whittaker in the first round which gives Khamzhat a golden ticket to face current Middleweight Champion Dricus Duplesis soon. Chimaev has all the momentum leading up to this fight which could see the undefeated fighter become legendary in the sport’s history.

I personally think Payton Talbott is the true future of the ufc. Dj, gamer, champion.
Talbotts got a nice straight left, scary stuff.
Yeah he was always really sweaty in the ring when I watched him. Can’t wait to see more of his sweaty body in the future
I wonder what would happen if they let fighters wear sweatsuits.
Dricus won’t be able to keep up with Khamzat once it goes to the ground
Honestly he’s not beating Jordan Hasty in a fight. Jordan’s just a young up and coming fighter who excels on the ground. Could easily beat Chimaev
He’s a very good fighter quick on his little feet. Give me a few months and I can take him though. You’re the reason I came to this school also by the way. Had to tell you now I feel empowered!
